Positive Displacement Dosing Pumps

In electromechanical (motorized) dosing pumps, "spring-return dosing pumps" may be insufficient for applications requiring higher capacities (≤5000 liters per hour) and pressures (≤250 bar). For such high-flow and high-pressure processes, "positive displacement dosing pumps" are offered as a solution to meet user needs. The operating principle of positive displacement dosing pumps is almost identical to that of spring-return dosing pumps. The main difference between these two pump technologies lies in the connection between the gear set and the piston.

In positive displacement dosing pumps, the piston and the gear set are connected via a crankshaft. The power from the electric motor and the resulting mechanical movement are transmitted to the piston through this crankshaft, enabling the chemical dosing process. Positive displacement dosing pumps fall into the heavy-duty dosing pump category and are designed to provide solutions for processes that require high-capacity chemical dosing and high pressures.
