Working with fluids containing solid or suspended materials presents the challenge of maintaining efficient flow while protecting pumps from damage. Installing a Sydex defender on the inlet side reduces particle sizes to manageable levels, eliminating the risks of clogging, premature wear, backflow, and pump damage. Since the flow is not pressure-dependent, this provides an ideal solution when installed on pump suction lines, protecting your pumps and facility from damage risks.

The Sydex defender can optionally be supplied with a control panel. Equipped with a PLC controller and current sensors, the automatic control system activates the reverse cycle function if high-torque materials like bolts get stuck in the defender. For added safety, the system can be programmed to stop the pumps if necessary.
